Wedding Venue
A luxurious wedding venue for a lavish affair, we offer exclusive services and strive to ensure all our celebrations are exceptional and our romantic castle is the perfect venue for the most special experience of your life.
A wedding venue like no other, the grand St Donat’s Castle is located on the beautiful South Wales coastline near Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, just 40 minutes from Central Cardiff and 50 minutes from Swansea.
The Bradenstoke Hall, Inner Courtyard and Great Hall boast an abundance of charm and character for the perfect wedding venue, with exposed bath stone walls and 20ft ceilings – a neutral palette to compliment your wedding decor. The original Tudor gardens and lawns are perfectly manicured and sweep down to the Bay of St Donat’s providing the most incredible picture-perfect moments for your photographer to capture.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with award-winning event organisers and wedding planners, Town & Country Collective to create the wedding day of your dreams. Their excellent team will take you through your wedding planning journey and deliver you the day of your dreams. What’s more, with hotels in the local area, they can offer exclusive accommodation rates for you and your guests.
Also known as the remarkable UWC Atlantic College, we usually host weddings (with a minimum of 80 guests on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday weekends) any day of the week outside of the College term between mid-June to mid-August. The Inner Courtyard is licensed for outdoor ceremonies for up to 160 guests, a truly idyllic outdoor location to say your ‘I do’s’.
The grand Bradenstoke Hall can accommodate 160 guests for a wedding breakfast and 200 guests for an evening party. Hire of the castle is available from 12.30pm to midnight (with access for supplier setup from 10am)
On-site you will also find the charming St Donat’s Church which can accommodate a wedding ceremony for up to 100 guests, bookable by the St Illtud’s Church Parish Office.
